York Daily Record The York NAACP has a new president who will lead the relentless efforts to continue eliminating race-based discrimination at all levels, and promote education and empowerment. Richard Craighead, owner of Inclusive Arts Movement York, has new approaches and ideas, but, he said, he will also use leadership characteristics of his predecessor, Sandra Thompson. Thompson has been a member of the NAACP for over 20 years, and she has served as the York chapter’s president since 2011. “She has been a rock in bringing about that attention, that awareness for racial issues and just justice in every scenario,” Craighead said.
