Updated: 9:13 AM PDT May 21, 2021 KCRA Staff Effective Friday, Yosemite National Park has reinstated its day-use reservation system for visitors.The temporary day-use reservation system will allow park officials to better manage visitation levels to reduce COVID-19 health concerns and risks associated with exposure, the National Park Service said in a news release. Day-use reservations will be required for all users, including annual and lifetime pass holders. Click here to make a reservation. The cost is $35 per vehicle, $30 for a motorcycle or $30 if you bike, walk or are riding a horse. Each day-use reservation is valid for three days and applies to one vehicle and the occupants of that car.Day-use reservations are included for all visitors staying overnight in the park. They're also included for all visitors with wilderness and Half Dome permits and people entering the park via Yosemite Area Regional Transportation System (YARTS) buses and on permitted commercial tours.The reservation system will be in effect through Sept. 30.
