Young farmers’ views sought on future use of land

Next-generation farmers and rural young people have been asked for their views on future land use to ensure their voice helps shape new government policy.
Future policy on food production, net zero, conservation and environment goals, as well as housing and development in the countryside will affect all young people working in agriculture and a new survey has asked for their thoughts.
The project is backed by Defra and run by the National Federation of Young Farmers’ Clubs (NFYFC) and researchers Rose Regeneration.
The NFYFC is working with Dr Ivan Annibal and Dr Jessica Sellick from Rose Regeneration following on from last year’s rural future survey.
