Zanite to move deadline for making acquisition to mid-November Print Zanite Acquisition Corp. — a blank-check company, or what is also commonly referred to as a special purpose acquisition company, or SPAC — said it will extend the period of time it has to complete an acquisition, which previously was slated to be next Wednesday, May 19. Zanite announced late Thursday, May 13, that its sponsor, Zanite Sponsor LLC, intends to purchase an additional 2.3 million private placement warrants, extending the time it has to make an acquisition of a company or companies by six months, to Nov. 19. Zanite is focused on a deal in the aviation, aerospace and defense, urban mobility and emerging technologies sectors with at least $750 million in enterprise value. Zanite raised $232.3 million following its initial public offering, announced last Nov. 17, in support of that effort.
