Zeeland's New Groningen Elementary added to outbreak report

ZEELAND — A local elementary school was added to the state’s School-Related Outbreak Reporting for the second time this year in an update Monday.
In the state’s March 8 update to the report, Zeeland’s New Groningen Elementary was added to the report with four cases. The cases include both students and staff, according to the state. New Groningen was previously added to the report Feb. 1 and had since been removed.
The building is the first local school added to the report since Feb. 22. Prior to that, from Jan. 4 to Feb. 22, local schools were added to the report in seven consecutive weeks.
