Lights & Sirens | Catalytic converter reported stolen Public records INCIDENTS Officers investigated a report of a catalytic converter stolen from the 1600 block of Marion Road. 7:49 a.m. A false alarm was received in the 2100 block of Stetzer Road. 9:09 a.m. Officers assisted a disabled motorist at Irving and Sandusky Avenue. 9:43 a.m. Officers assisted with a patient experiencing mental health issues at the Avita Health System-Bucyrus Hospital. 9:59 a.m.   Officers assisted with a vehicle lockout in the 200 block of Crossroads Boulevard. 10 a.m.  Officers assisted Avita Health System-Bucyrus Hospital with a disruptive patient. 10:37 a.m.  A parking complaint in the 100 block of East Mansfield Street was investigated. 11:22 a.m. 

City council committee approves funds for new firefighters extra training

BUCYRUS - As the Bucyrus Fire Department begins the process of expanding its staff to be able to provide EMS service within the city, some additional training will be needed, the fire chief told members of the Bucyrus City Council Finance Committee on Tuesday. At a special committee meeting, Service-Safety Director Jeff Wagner said some of his department s new hires will need additional training that wasn t included in his department s original budget for the year. The department is in the process of hiring three employees to be ready to take over ambulance service within the city when the Central Joint Ambulance Service s contract with Portsmouth Emergency Ambulance expires at the end of October  or sooner is necessary, fire Chief Chad Schwemley said.

INCIDENTS Officers picked up an abandoned bike in the 900 block of Hull Avenue. 8:35 a.m.  Officers assisted with a vehicle lockout in the 500 block of Failor Street. 8:51 a.m.  Officers investigated a report of a disturbance in the 1300 block of East Mansfield Street. 9:54 a.m.  A subject came on station to speak with officers regarding a personal matter. 9:55 a.m.  Officers assisted with a vehicle lockout in the 700 block of South East Street. 11:39 a.m.  A parking complaint was investigated in the 200 block of West Mary Street. 12:54 p.m.  Officers took a dog bite complaint at Avita Health System Bucyrus Hospital. 1:27 p.m.
