The “Rally to Stop Socialism in America,” held on May 1 near the Shops at Rossmoor, brought people from all over Orange and Los Angeles County to protest the Biden’s administration Marxist leanings. Attendees were invited to play “Biden’s Blunders.” Looking at a list of blunders, they selected what they believe is the administration’s worst blunder. After making their selection, they put their name in for an opportunity drawing to win a $25 gift card to Hof’s Hut. (KB of Lakewood won the gift card.) President’s Comments Threaten Right to Bear Arms, Gun Rights Advocates Say
Southern California gun rights advocates say that recent remarks made by President Joe Biden in favor of tougher gun control laws threaten the constitutional right of Americans to keep and bear firearms.
Last month, Biden called on the Department of Justice (DOJ) to curb the sale of homemade ghost gun kits, pushed to expand “red flag” laws that restrict firearms purchases, and called for an outright ban on assault rifles and high-capacity magazines.
Gun rights advocates told The Epoch Times that the proposed bans are government overreach that do “nothing to address the criminal misuse of firearms.”

Gun Sales Skyrocket in Oregon Amid Riots, Pandemic
Gun sales significantly increased in Oregon last year and in January, amid riots in Portland and the COVID-19 pandemic.
More than 516,696 background checks were done in the state in 2020, according to data from the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
That’s a jump from the 357,700 background checks in 2019 and 359,682 background checks in the state in 2018.
The figures are from the National Instant Criminal Background Check System, where requests for background checks are lodged. The checks are made to make sure a prospective buyer doesn’t have a criminal record or isn’t otherwise ineligible to purchase or own a firearm.
SoCal Gun Sales Shoot Through the Roof
The combined events of the past year and ongoing calls for federal gun control have created ideal conditions for a massive local surge in gun and ammo sales, according to Southern California gun rights advocates.
Trent Butler, executive director of the Orange County Gun Owners (OCGO) political action committee, told The Epoch Times that civil unrest, political rhetoric, COVID-19 lockdowns, financial uncertainty, and disruptions in the supply chain have led to a spike in firearms and ammunition sales for more than a year.
“It’s a perfect storm,” Butler said. “I think people are making very complex value assessments and deciding that having a substantial ability to defend themselves … is something that’s critical to daily life.”
