A volunteer helps a pupil PRIMARY schools in the Bolton area have benefitted from laptops donated by a sales giant. The company, which operates sites including Very.co.uk and Littlewoods.com, donated 300 laptops to 30 primary schools across Liverpool, Bolton and the East Midlands. Each school – including 20 in Liverpool and two in the Bolton area – received 10 new laptops as part of a bundle that also includes two printers, books, Crayola bundles, data wifi spots and headphones. St George’s CE Primary School in Atherton and St Mary’s CE Primary School in Deane were the local schools which received the helpful packages.

Duchess of Cornwall ’s reading platform called The Reading Room (@duchessofcornwallsreadingroom) on Jan. 1. “Following the success of The Duchess’s book lists published in 2020, Her Royal Highness has created a brand-new reading platform,”
Prince Charles and Camilla’s official account wrote alongside a video of the Duchess speaking with author Charlie Mackesy about his book,

For 35 years, the rich and famous came to John Harding s central London salon to get their hair cut, coloured, and styled. Joan Collins; Vanessa Redgrave; Rod Stewart; Tony Curtis; Kristina Tholstrup and occasionally husband Roger Moore; Sarah Churchill; and many more.
The salon was on Elizabeth Street, Belgravia; a place where leafy garden squares reflect in the polished brass plates of embassies and hedge funds. There were lots of wealthy people in the area, says John, now 77. Lady this and Lady that.
