Bhim Army chief Chandrashekhar Azad alias Ravan has announced that he will visit
Koregaon Bhima on January 1.
The organisation’s city unit has also announced that a rally will be held in Pune to commemorate the day.
The announcement came in direct contradiction with the organising committee’s decision of not holding any event at the site and allowing only a few to gather to pay tribute at Vijay Stambha. While the organising committee members have stated that they have already conveyed their decision to the Bhim Army members and they have agreed to abide by it, the
district collector stated that the decision about whom to allow will be taken based on the state government’s guidelines.
