Oasis to host lunch and learn on senior living options

The Oasis Senior Center, 2810 Woodlawn Rd.,will host a program on senior living options from 10 a.m. until noon Friday, July 23 in Lincoln. Speakers will discuss various levels of senior care, from independent living to hospice, and every step in between. Following the speaker presentations, a light lunch of cheesy broccoli soup will be served and attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and get more detailed information. Pre-registration is required. Call the Oasis at 217-732-6132 to reserve a seat. The event is free for Oasis members. There is a $5 registration fee for non-members.

Kid’s meals consisting of a hot dog, chips and a treat will also be available for $5. The Oasis Senior Center will hold a Granny’s Attic Charity Sale on June 11-12, in conjunction with the Route 66 Garage Sale.
For those who have been cleaning out during the last stay-at-home year, the Oasis welcomes your donations of household items, tools, small working appliances, crafts, holiday items and knickknacks for this sale.
Sale donations can be brought from 9 a.m. until noon on Fridays to the Oasis Center, 2810 Woodlawn Rd., or other times by appointment. Sorry, no clothing can be accepted. Donated treasures provide services for Logan County seniors.
