The Jimmies put up 25 total runs on Friday in routes over Friends University and Bethel College. Jamestown scored four runs in the sixth inning against Friends, and then kept the offense moving in the second game of the day by putting on six runs versus Bethel. Morgan Geiszler had three RBIs against Friends, and Katie Reisdorfer hit a three-run home run to take down Bethel.
Kat Miska won two games over the weekend, improving her overall record to 4-1 on the season. Miska had 25 total strikeouts on Friday and Saturday. UJ now sits at 10-4 on the season and will play a doubleheader at Tabor College today starting at 2 pm.
Commission gets updates on community grants

COVID-19 positivity rates have dropped again for Marion County, now at 7% with more vaccine points of dispersal to continue distribution out of the Marion County Fairgrounds or at Tabor College, County Clerk Tina Spencer said.
County commissioners discussed the 2020 Community Development Block Grant to different businesses within Marion County in efforts to aid small and private businesses during tumultuous financial environments. Marion and Hillsboro have reached the limit this grant provides, but the rest of the county is still eligible for aid.
