Varanasi, April 5 (IANS) A unique waste bank has been opened in Uttar Pradesh s Varanasi, which is also the parliamentary constituency of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, to keep the environment clean. This bank involves transactions through plastic waste. The plastic is collected by the people of the city, volunteers of the plastic waste bank as well as consumers and deposited here.

A new large-scale vaccination site will open in Fort McMurray to help more residents access the COVID-19 vaccine.

On April 5, a convenient new immunization clinic will open at the Suncor Community Leisure Centre curling rink at MacDonald Island Park in Fort McMurray.
This clinic is made possible through partnerships with Alberta Health Services, the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo and venue operators.
“These new sites will help us achieve our goal of offering every adult Albertan the vaccine by June 30. I want to thank everyone involved for working together to protect public health. Vaccines are the path out of the pandemic: they protect all of us, save lives, and reduce the burden on hospitals and other health services. REGGI rebates passed along to Wolfeboro MED customers
April 01, 2021WOLFEBORO Wolfeboro Municipal Electric customers will see a slight reduction in their electric bills for three months commencing in April. Barry Muccio, Director of Opertions for the Municipal Electric Department received approval from the Board of Selectmen n March 3 for distribution of a little over $100,000 in RGGI rebate dollars from the last quarter to customers through a .0064 cent reduction per kilowatt hour. That could amount to about $5 per customer.
RGGI ( Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative) is a program that limits carbon emissions from power plants, with a trading market for allowances to exceed those limits. (Fossil fuel burning power plants must purchase allowances for every ton of carbon dioxide they emit.) States can split revenues between customer rebates and clean energy programs. ....
