Niagara Falls City Schools plans to open two indoor pools for kids to cool off

NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. If you need another spot to cool off this summer, you will be able to take a swim at a couple pools in Niagara Falls.
The school district has announced they will be opening some of their pools this summer after Niagara Falls decided to close their pools because of issues related to the COVID pandemic.
There are just couple of weeks left of what has been a daunting and historic school year, but school districts across the region are ready to launch enhanced summer school programs designed to allow students to catch up from remote learning loss along with some added extras.

WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. (WKBW) â Elementary school students in several school districts in Western New York start five-day in-person learning on Monday, including two of the region s biggest districts.
The Williamsville Central School District, Niagara Falls City School District, Hamburg Central School District and Lewiston-Porter Central School District will all welcome elementary students back.
Per state guidelines, though, students in middle and high schools can not return to five-day in-person learning unless there are fewer than 100 COVID-19 cases per 100,000 county residents.
