Fake cop arrested for duping people with false job promises

A man who was allegedly impersonating an officer of the anti-rowdy squad of the detective department at Lalbazar has allegedly duped several people with false promises of getting them jobs with the police. The man who lived at a Behala address shifted to a rented apartment in Parnasree a week ago after people he allegedly cheated started going to his home demanding he return their money, police said. Advertisement He was arrested early on Tuesday. “We have arrested a man named Partha Dutta for cheating at least three youths of Rs 11.6 lakh against false promises of getting them a police job,” said a senior police officer.

Roland Bouchara has been appointed to the role of CEO and managing director for Stellantis in India, while Dr Partha Datta has assumed responsibility for engineering, design, R&D operations across the India and Asia Pacific region. Bouchara, who had headed Citroen’s India operations as senior vice president of sales and marketing since 2017, will take full responsibility for the Jeep and Citroen brands, and for the Group’s manufacturing operations in the country.

Stellantis was created following the merger of French company Groupe PSA and Italian-American Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) which was completed in January 2021. Bouchara has led the Citroen India operations in his capacity as senior VP of sales and marketing for the brand since 2017.
