‘Movies in the Park’ features ‘Dragon’
“How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World” is the free feature movie scheduled at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at Sweetwater Summit Regional Park, 3218 Summit Meadow Road in Bonita. When Hiccup discovers Toothless isn’t the only Night Fury, he must seek The Hidden World, a secret Dragon Utopia, before a hired tyrant named Grimmel finds it first. San Diego police officer injured when driver flees traffic stop in Mira Mesa

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A San Diego police officer was injured Thursday when a driver backed a vehicle into him while fleeing a traffic stop near a Mira Mesa intersection, police said.
The motorcycle officer pulled over a black Chrysler sedan for unknown reasons shortly before 10:10 a.m. near Westview Parkway and Black Mountain Road, and the driver backed up and hit him, San Diego Police Department Officer Tony Martinez said.
The driver knocked the officer over and continued to push the motorcycle backward with the officer pinned under it.

Highlights: For 34 years, the San Diego Section girls triple jump record of 41-feet, 8 1/4-inches set by Mount Miguel’s Jackie Anderson withstood all challenges. But in the Division I championships at Del Norte High, Miller stood at the end of the runway with one last jump remaining. Waiting for the wind to be just right, she took off, hit the takeoff board perfectly and landed in territory she hadn’t approached. Miller watched over the shoulder of the official as her mark was measured at 42-feet, 3 1/2-inches shattering Anderson’s record by 7 1/4 inches.
