Guy Douglas Harris III, 24, was arrested on suspicion of possessing drug paraphernalia. He was held without bail on a probation violation. Officers suspected the E-Bike was unreported as missing. Suspicious circumstances. 300 block of Aster St. 7:47 p.m. A man was reported for beating up a woman and forcing her into a white BMW. Officers found victim with scrapes and cuts. Lexzandra Sage Zimmerman, 21, was arrested on suspicion of battery and grand theft. Zimmerman was held on a $20,500 bail. Domestic violence. 200 block of Wave St. 8:03 p.m. Man and woman were reported for fighting. They apparently left the scene in a Land Rover and officers stopped the vehicle at Fairview and North Coast Highway. Jenny Porter, 50, was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery against a spouse or cohabitant. She was held on a $10,000 bail. ....
GMC GM was chosen because it s company is playing serious catchup in the electric-vehicle game, which is true. Until recently with the Lyriq and GMC Hummer, it was behind the times. Time magazine notes that the company sold just 21,000 EVs last year. It s also playing defense against Volkswagen, who also made the list. Time interviewed CEO Mary Barra who said of Tesla There s really no self-driving vehicles out on the road right now other than in pilots like we have with Cruise. They re driver-assist systems. How can an entire sector consist of companies all of which are priced as if they will soon dominate their industry? That describes the Electric Vehicle (EV) sector not just Tesla and it has become a “ big market delusion.” The phrase was coined by Brad Cornell, a professor at UCLA and at Caltech, and referenced in a recent research piece by Rob Arnott, Research Affiliates (RAFI) founder and chairman. Arnott notes the companies in the EV space have risen together. While some will win and some will lose, they all cannot be better than average. When all of the companies in a single sector are priced as if each will be the outlier winner, e.g., stupendous success and overwhelming market share, we end up with the situation described as a delusion. ....
