Laykay, who brands himself as a ‘Music Service Provider’ has performed severally at societal events that have been aired on national television stations and currently performs with bands that reel out tunes to the crème de la crème of the society.
Also owing to his amazing and skilful performances, he has shared platforms with International acts like Cobhams Asuquo, Lara George, Folake Umosen, Frank Edwards, Freke Umoh, Donnie McClurkin, Israel Houghton, Alvin Slaughter, Lionel Peterson to mention but a few.

But like her 1950s namesake Thoko Thomo, the speedball inferno from George Goch known for her high-octave package – she sang, acted, danced, pouted, and teased audiences and fellow collaborators with peerless brio – before being effectively “disappeared” from public memory prior to her actual death in 1995, Thoko Ndlozi, who died on 14 January at 74, just won’t die.
Not dying – as opposed to being dead and famous, or alive and unseen, unfelt, unheard and unrecognised – is a remarkable feat on its own.
