GGPoker Spring Festival Wraps Up With Nearly $180 Million Paid Out

The GGPoker Spring Festival, the poker site’s biggest series ever, is now in the books with more nearly $180 million paid out over three weeks. And it’s just the beginning of what’s to come for the poker site promoted by Daniel Negreanu.

Negreanu isn’t the only big name affiliated with GGPoker. Fedor Holz, Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier, and others represent the site, and the affiliation with high-profile players is clearly paying off.
It took nearly 10 hours, but
KingKongJoel emerged the winner of
GGSF Main Event-H: $1,500 NLHE, $10M GTD for a top prize of
$1,133,634. They made their way through a
6,803 Day 1 entries, who combined into
1,177 runners for Day 2 action.
The entries on Day 1 weren t quite enough to meet the massive
$10 million guarantee, but they were close, only leaving $305,725 of overlay. With $10 million to play for, the top prize was originally set at $1,191,976, but a deal heads up at the break dropped that down a little to sweeten the pot for second.

GGPoker Spring Festival Super MILLION$ $10,300 ME-H has been reduced to a final table of nine after about seven hours of Day 2 play.
The remaining players have a very handsome prize of $1,537,605 waiting the champ, with everyone having locked up $192,201.
The player who has best positioned himself for that career-defining score is
Joakim Andersson. A Swedish player without much in the way of live cashes, Andersson has been a consistent force in the biggest online stuff over the past year or so, and he ll bring a very impressive stack of more than 100 big blinds into the final day.
