The BJP leaders of Gujarat and Himachal, including Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel and state president C.R. Patil were present in the meeting, said sources.
Gujarat Assembly Election 2022: In 2017, the polls in the two state were announced on different dates but the counting took place together on December 18. The EC on Friday announced the schedule for Himachal Pradesh assembly polls. The notification will be issued on October 17 and the polls will be held on November 12. The counting of votes will take place on December 8.
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Tuesday announced that it will contest the Gujarat Assembly polls, scheduled later in the year, in alliance with the Bharatiya Tribal Party (BTP).
