Welcome to bbc Newsroom Live. The number of patients on Hospital Wards has been at unsafe levels in nine out of ten nhs trusts in england this winter, according to figures obtained by the bbc. Some hospitals were operating at close to full capacity, putting increased pressure on the number of beds available.
