Searching for some positive signs here. yesterday was another pretty volatile day for investors. the dow gave up some last-minute gains. finished down 22 points. the s&p 500 and the nasdaq closed slightly higher. that's just treading water, i would say. treading water because trade war and recession fears have caused investors to seek refuge by piling into safer instruments, like gold. gold prices settled 2.4% higher. that's the highest level since 2013. trouble in retail land. wall greens will close about 200 locations to cut costs. that's about less than 3% of wall green's locations. more ...
