Carson City sheriff's log for Saturday: Deputies make alcohol and drug related arrests

A 33-year-old Carson City man was arrested Saturday, 3:38 a.m. in the 3200 block of Market Street on a misdemeanor charge, driving under the influence, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said. According to the arrest report, deputies patrolling the area of North Roop and Northridge were advised of a possible suicidal subject driving a vehicle.

Number of Nevada employers at all-time high

Nevada has set records for six consecutive quarters for the total number of employers, increasing by 1,240 or 1.9 percent in the fourth quarter of 2015, according to figures released Wednesday by the state's Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation. This brings the total to 66,900 as of the first quarter of 2016.
