Newhall Fire Breaks Out Near 14 Freeway A Newhall fire broke out Tuesday on the 14 Freeway prompting a response from firefighters. Around 3:25 p.m. Tuesday, firefighters received reports of a brush fire on the southbound 14 Freeway between Sierra Highway and Newhall avenue, in Newhall, said Franklin Lopez, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Fire Department. “We have a working fire,” Lopez said.
