(Photo courtesy of Coast Guard District Northern Mindanao) MANILA - Typhoon Odette has so far affected some 11,859 families as it pummeled most of the Visayas and Mindanao, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said on Friday. In its 8 a.m. update, the agency said these families, which are equivalent to 41,434 persons, are from 249 villages in Bicol, Western Visayas, Eastern Visayas, Northern Mindanao, and the Caraga region.
