Staff Report CHARLESTON — Forty-six more people are confirmed to have died from the virus in West Virginia, the Department of Health and Human Resources said in its Tuesday morning update. The death toll stands at 1,442 people since the pandemic began in March. Among the confirmed deaths on Tuesday are an 81-year-old man from Wood County and an 84-year-old man from Jackson County, according to the department.
