The ones we saw, there was sort of a pattern with many of these cases. these were not clear-cut homicides. these were cases where the victim's body may have been decompo decomposed, where the medical examiner may have determined that, yes, the person was killed, but by unspecified means. and so they exploited some these uncertainties to some degree to sort of keep them off the books. >> a couple days after "chicago" magazine reported that homicides were being reclassified in parts because of the pressures from compstat, the chicago police department pushed back. >> i want to get your reaction,...
