editorial@newsandsentinel.com CHARLESTON — The total of confirmed deaths in West Virginia from the virus has exceeded 1,700, including seven more people from Wood and Jackson counties in Thursday morning’s pandemic update from the Department of Health and Human Resources. The state reported 1,702 confirmed deaths from the COVID-19 coronavirus since the pandemic began in March.
