About Rs 8,180 crore has already been transferred directly into Punjab farmers account, the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution said. As per the ministry, in the ongoing Rabi Marketing Season (RMS) 2021-22, the Government of India continues to procure Rabi crops at MSP from farmers as per existing Price Support Scheme. Wheat procurement is going on at a brisk pace in the procuring States and UTs of Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Chandigarh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and other States with the purchase of over 222.33 lakh metric tonnes (LMT) up to April 25, 2021 against 77.57 LMT during the corresponding period of last year, it said. ....

(Photo/ANI) Rs 880 cr to be spent on COVID-19 vaccination of people above 18 years in Haryana: Khattar ANI | Updated: Apr 24, 2021 23:04 IST New Delhi [India], April 24 (ANI): Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Saturday informed that about 1.1 crore people above the age of 18 years will be administered COVID-19 vaccination across the state from May 1 and an amount of Rs 880 crores would be spent on the vaccine administration, which would be borne by his government. Registration for the vaccination would start from April 28, 2021. The Chief Minister said this while presiding over the meeting of the state-level COVID Monitoring Committee held in Chandigarh today. ....
