A52 reopens after 'serious collision' near Long Eaton Traffic was stopped on the busy road earlier this morning Police attended a "serious collision" on the A52 near Long Eaton and the road was partially closed. Highways England reported on Monday morning (May 24) that traffic had been stopped heading west, near to the A52 junction with the M1. Police were in attendance and the advice is to avoid the area, with traffic held from Long Eaton to Borrowash. One lane was closed on the westbound carriageway. It was later reopened.
