Arbaaz Merchant, who was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in the drugs-on-cruise case on October 3, was released from the Arthur Road prison in central Mumbai on Sunday, three days after he was granted bail by the Bombay High Court.
Citing the reason behind the delay in the release of Aryan Khan from the Arthur Road jail, senior advocate Aslam Merchant shared that it happened as the paperwork got delayed at sessions court and couldn’t be submitted within the time frame.
A special NDPS court ruled that, aside from WhatsApp chats, there is no other evidence that Aachit Kumar supplied drugs to Aryan Khan.

Out of the 20 accused in the case, the Special NDPS Court has granted bail to 9 accused on Saturday after the Bombay High Court granted bail to 3 accused including the prime accused Aryan Khan.
