The Willmar City Council on Monday approved a development agreement with RDC National regarding a proposed logistics facility in the Willmar Industrial Park, along with amending the purchase agreement and major subdivision. The amendments were needed due to changes in the project.

The developer was requesting the city pay for the light to help control the increased traffic that the developer believes will come from the logistics facility it is building in the Willmar Industrial Park.
The Willmar Planning Commission is recommending the approval of the plan for the large logistics project in the Fourth Addition of the Willmar Industrial Park. The Willmar City Council still needs to give its seal of approval to the plan, which will see the construction of a 217,000-square-foot package sorting and distribution facility in the park.
