Basque region unveils €1.3bn hydrogen scheme
The Basque Hydrogen Corridor will see €650m invested in three green hydrogen projects totalling 112MW. The first one built by Petronor, which will be operational in 2022, will have 2MW of capacity and will serve to power the Abanto Technology Park. A second 10MW project will be developed by Petronor, EVE and Enagas and will come online in 2024 at the Port of Bilbao. Production will be destined for a synthetic fuels plant. Thirdly, a 100MW facility is due for completion in 2025 and will serve to decarbonise the production process of Petronor as well as supply the needs of the corridor itself...
