The state forest department has implemented security measures to prevent animal hunting during the annual Bisu Sendra festival. Checkpoints have been set up at 11 locations, with patrols in 17 stretches and deployment of 150 forest guards and 120 volunteers. Awareness programs have led to a change in tribal community's perspective on wildlife hunting, promoting a token observance of the festival without harming animals.
