Central Railway, on Tuesday, announced that it will be introducing 10 more air-conditioned (AC) local train services on the main line starting from November 6.
AC locals have been a hit with one section of commuters, but the NCP is opposed to them, saying they are anti-working class
Presently, there are 56 AC local services, with the 10 additional, total number of services will be 66.
With the introduction of 12 new AC services, the total number of AC services will now increase from 20 to 32 on Western Railway.
Passengers of TH Line blamed high ticket rates and low frequency for the poor turnout of the locals.
