ACC Battery: The scheme is aimed at strengthening the ecosystem for electric mobility and battery storage in the country.

The National Programme on Advanced Chemistry Cell (ACC) battery storage was approved by the Union Cabinet on May 12, 2021 with budgetary outlay of Rs 18,100 crore.

The budget allocation for the advanced chemistry cell (ACC) sector has increased sixfold in recent years, indicating the government's commitment to enhancing the country's energy storage capabilities. ACC Battery: "EV is determined primarily by the battery running the powertrain of the vehicle. Advancements in the battery technology space is pivotal for the development of better-performing EVs," said Vipin Sondhi, Chairman, CII National Committee on Future Mobility and former CEO & MD, Ashok Leyland and JCB.
