The Saudi Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources announced on Wednesday the preferred bidders in the fourth series of the licensing rounds conducted as part of the Accelerated Exploration Program initiative. The initiative has been designed to effectively leverage the Kingdom’s mineral resources in support of the development and growth of the mining sector, in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 and the National Industrial Development and Logistics Program.

Eng. Al-Mudaifer highlighted that mining companies will need new areas with the consumption of some minerals-rich areas, and access to new areas may be more difficult, which will increase the need for advanced technologies to facilitate effective targeting and extraction, hence lies the importance of developing and adopting modern technologies in exploration, prospecting and mining methods.
