Boost confident of securing digital banking licence, ready to deepen foothold
Financial technology (fintech) firm Boost Holdings Bhd is poised to expand its presence in the financial sector by focusing on banking and lending segments while persistently seeking new markets. Boost, which is Axiata Group Bhd's subsidiary, has formed a consortium with RHB Banking Group to apply for a digital banking licence from Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM), where Boost will own a majority stake of 60% in the digital bank joint venture (JV), while RHB would hold the remaining 40%, with a minimum issued share capital of RM100 million
