Wind up. sure. so there s well over i believe four million people who currently hold security clearances. to be fair, a huge number a majority of that no doubt require security clearances at various different levels. you have defense contractors, you have military personnel, you have government employees. but there is an excess of individuals who are being granted clearances for no other reason than because of where what particular facility they re at, and it s causing problems of ensuring that access isn t inadvertently given to them. they re not being given copies of records to which they truly don t need in order to perform the duties they are being paid to do for the federal government and on behalf of the american people. there have been discussions, there have been requests for reform for years about how we decide who truly needs a security clearance and who does not. we want to make sure national security is protected without causing this excess of ....
