Governor Ned Lamont today announced that the Federal Transit Administration is awarding $29.6 million in an All Stations Accessibility Program (ASAP) grant to the Connecticut Department of Transportation that will be used to make accessibility upgrades on three stations along the Metro-North Railroad Waterbury Branch Line, including in Ansonia, Seymour, and Beacon Falls.

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) announced a sweeping package of accessibility upgrades that will make nine more New York City Subway stations accessible, replace and upgrade elevators at another five subway stations, and make seven Long Island Rail Road stations in Queens and Nassau and Suffolk Counties fully accessible for the first time while replacing elevators at two additional LIRR stations.
