Pakistan's development expenditure has slowed down significantly, with only Rs 22.5 billion spent in the first two months of the fiscal year, compared to an annual budget allocation of Rs 950 billion. The actual expenditure on core development was even lower, at just Rs 8.1 billion, excluding funds disbursed by the previous government.
