Pontiac Elks Lodge provides scholarships to eight recipients
Pontiac Daily Leader The Pontiac Elks Lodge Scholarship program has been in existence since 1980. A release from the Elks Lodge notes that the 41 years is a long tradition of helping children of Pontiac Elks members in pursuing a higher education. The scholarship fund has been set up so that the principle used to start the fund can never be used as a scholarship award, which means that only the interest and dividends are used to provide scholarship awards to children of Elks Lodge members.
