GUWAHATI: In what many say may turn out to be a master stroke in poll-bound Assam, the BJP-led government is all set to roll out the Employee Health Assurance Scheme (EHAS) for 4.3 lakh state government employees from February 1. The Request for Proposal (RFP) for implementing the EHAS, which was published recently, stated that the scheme would also cover newly recruited employees and their family, and all civil service officers serving under the Assam government on an optional basis.
