Police A WOMAN has been left "shaken" after a man demanded she hand over her handbag. Thames Valley Police (TVP) explained at about 9.20pm on Sunday, January 31, the victim, a woman in her 40s, was walking down Gordon Place towards Sherwood Street when a man approached her from behind. The force said: "He demanded she hand over her bag, which she did, before he fled the scene on foot." The bag contained a bank card and a small purse. Police said the suspect is described as being of slim build, around 6ft and was wearing black or dark clothing with his hood up.

Erleigh Road POLICE are appealing for witnesses following an attempted theft in East Reading where a woman felt a man "tug on her shoulder strap of her handbag". Thames Valley Police said at about 8.50pm on Thursday, January 28, the victim, a woman aged 56 years old, was walking along Erleigh Road.
