Delhi court grants bail to Deep Sidhu in Red Fort violence case

New Delhi: A Delhi Court has granted bail to Deep Sidhu, accused in the Red Fort Violence case in connection with he violence that broke out during the farmer’s tractor rally on Republic Day.
Additional Sessions Judge Neelofer Abida Perveen granted bail to Sidhu subject to his furnishing personal bond with two local sureties in the sum of Rs. 30,000/- each to the satisfaction of the Court.
Furthermore, the Court has granted bail on the following conditions:
He shall deposit his passport with the IO.

New Delhi [India], April 8 (ANI): Actor-turned-activist Deep Sidhu, accused in the case of Republic day violence in Delhi, did not call for the protest, and there is no evidence that he mobilised the crowd to Red Fort, said Sidhu s layer during his bail plea hearing in Delhi court on Thursday.
During the bail hearing, Advocate Abhishek Gupta, appearing on behalf of Sidhu, said the call for protest was by farmer leaders, and his client is not a member of any farmers union.
