Tinubu Government Postpones Launch Of Nigerian Students Loans Indefinitely

The President Bola Tinubu-led Nigerian government has postponed the launch of the Nigerian Students Loan Scheme indefinitely.    The Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund, Akintunde Sawyer, made this known during an interview with Arise News on Tuesday.   In June 2023, Tinubu signed a bill to start a Students Loan Fund that would give interest-free loans to Nigerians for higher education.

WTO Director-General Okonjo-Iweala Tasks Tinubu To Rescue Abducted Kaduna, Sokoto School Children

The Director General of the World Trade Organisation (WTO), Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala has called on the President Bola Tinubu-led Nigerian government to secure the release of the students abducted by terrorists in Sokoto and Kaduna states. University Of Lagos Student Declared Missing Resurfaces, Says Hiked Tuition Forced Him To Go Hustle For Money

        A 300-level philosophy student of the University of Lagos (Unilag) identified as Aworetan Oluwashina, who was declared missing for weeks has resurfaced, saying that he was not missing. He said that rather, the astronomical hike in tuition by the university management forced him to leave the school to hustle to make money.
