A wanted dacoit was killed in an alleged police encounter at Kalibari road in Hailakandi district of Assam. Afzal Hussain Barbhuiya, a wanted criminal involved in various crimes, was shot by police after snatching a cop's revolver and attempting to attack the police team.
An official from the Cachar Police said that there were multiple complaints against suspected dacoit Afzal Hussain Barbhuiya , and he was one of the most wanted criminals in the district
