August of 2021. here is something that we read in national review. what america owes the afghans we left behind. america s abrupt abandonment of afghanistan and allies is inhumane. thousands of afghans are waiting for us to uphold our promise to protect them and provide safe admission to america. i don t know if you still have constituents that have problems. i hear from people every day about one in particular comes to mind. ahmad, an american citizen allowed to come back to the united states. he is in a refugee camps after saving his wife and son from the taliban. i served in afghanistan, my heart goes out to the afghan people especially the women and young girls who are being treated so horribly by the taliban regime. my concern is lie with that and with the report that came out of the pentagon last september that says later this year afghanistan will become a safe haven again to terrorist ....
