Islamabad : Islamabad Police have been directed to ensure elaborate security arrangements for the last ‘Ashra’ of Ramazan and maintain high vigilance besides enhancing patrolling measures in the city.
These directions were made by Deputy Inspector General of Police (Operations) Afzaal Ahmed Kausar while reviewing the overall security arrangements during Ramadan in a meeting here on Wednesday.
The meeting was attended among others by SSP (Investigation) Atta ur Rehman, SSP (Operations) Islamabad Dr. Syed Mustafa Tanveer, Additional SP, Zonal SPs, SDPOs and SHOs of all police stations.
The DIG (Operations) directed to ensure fool proof security arrangements during last Ashra of Ramadan and maintain close coordination with the mosque committees. ....

Islamabad: Deputy Inspector General of Police (Operations) Afzaal Ahmed Kausar and Senior Superintendent of Police (Operations) Syed Mustafa Tanveer visited different areas of the capital city to inspect the law and order situation and met with the on-duty officials.
According to the police, Additional SP Farhat Abbas Kazmi, SP (Aiwan-e-Sadr) Sardar Mustafa and ASP Abdul Aleem also accompanied the high-ups during their round to the city. The officials also distributed masks among the personnel. DIG Afzaal Ahmed Kausar also had an ‘Iftar’ dinner with the police officials in Rawat while SSP Syed Mustafa Tanveer had ‘Iftar’ with cops at Faizabad bridge. ....

Islamabad: Deputy Inspector General of Police (Operations) Islamabad Afzaal Ahmed Kausar has directed all police officials to ensure the arrest of criminals involved in crime cases of heinous nature and make the capital a ‘crime free’ city. He made these directions in a meeting held here to review the performance of various circles of Islamabad police.
SSP (Operations), SSP (Investigation), Additional SP Islamabad, Zonal SPs, SDPOs and SHOs of all police stations were also present on the occasion.
While reviewing the crime statistics, the DIG (Operations) said that disciplinary action would be taken those police officials found involved in sluggish attitude towards resolving public complaints. He categorically asked police officials to launch massive crackdown against criminal elements and ensure arrest of absconders. ....

The Islamabad police registered 221 cases at various police stations of Islamabad during the last two days following a policy of free registration of crime.
As per directions of IGP Jamilur Rehman, Islamabad police have adopted a zero-tolerance policy against those involved in the delay of registration of crime cases.
Operations DIG Afzaal Ahmed Kausar reviewed the phone calls data of Rescue 15 about crime incidents. He thoroughly reviewed the crime data of last quarter of 2020 and directed for immediate registration of FIRs on reported crime cases. ....
