GIS arrests 151 foreigners for illegal entry into Ghana March 2, 2021 PERSONNEL of the Akanu Sector of the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) , in the Ketu North Municipality of the Volta Region, have for the past three weeks arrested 151 nationals of four West African countries, for flouting the border closure and entering the country through unapproved routes. The illegal immigrants were made up of 119 Nigerians, 22 Niger nationals, seven Benin nationals and three from Cote d’Ivoire.
