PETALING JAYA: The Prime Minister has assured the rakyat that there will be no curfew or shutdown under the emergency proclamation declared by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong.
Let me assure you that during the emergency proclamation, the civilian government will continue to function. The emergency proclamation by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong is not a military coup and a curfew will not be enforced, said Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.
He added in a special televised address on Tuesday (Jan 12) that the Cabinet and state (governments) will continue to function according to the Federal Constitution and all laws.
In terms of government administration, the proclamation by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong (will be issued) from time to time, said Muhyiddin. ....
